Contracts Manager – Fire Doors (Passive Fire Protection)
Location: Kent office (2 days) + site-based (3 days)
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + package
Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Our client are a well-established Passive Fire Protection contractor operating across London and the South of England seek an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.
This business delivers specialist fire door installation, inspection, remediation and compartmentation works across residential, commercial and public sector buildings. Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, they are now looking for a technically capable Contracts Manager with strong fire door knowledge and practical site experience.
This is a hands-on role overseeing multiple live projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
Reporting to the business Directors, the Contracts Manager will take responsibility for the delivery of multiple fire door packages across London and the South of England.
You will split your time between the Kent office (2 days per week) and visiting sites (3 days per week) to support project teams and maintain delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee multiple fire door installation and remediation contracts from mobilisation through to completion

Manage site teams, supervisors and specialist installers

Ensure all works comply with current fire safety legislation, third-party accreditation and manufacturer requirements

Monitor programme, quality, cost control and site performance

Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits

Provide technical guidance to installation teams where required

Liaise with clients, main contractors, housing providers and consultants

Support project documentation including O&M manuals, certification and compliance records

Work closely with estimating and commercial teams during project handover

Maintain high standards of health & safety and regulatory compliance
The Candidate
This role would suit someone who has progressed from a fire door installation background into site or contracts management.
The successful candidate will be technically strong and comfortable supporting teams on site when required.
Essential experience

Previous experience working for a Passive Fire Protection contractor

Strong background in fire door installation, remediation or maintenance

Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager or Senior Site Manager within the sector

Hands-on experience personally installing fire doors earlier in your career

Strong knowledge of fire door compliance, standards and certification requirements

Ability to manage multiple live contracts simultaneously

Excellent client-facing and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence
