We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Groundworker to Start on a site in Hertfordshire. Candidates will have a strong background in all aspects of groundworks and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team on a variety of civil engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laying kerbs and edgings to a high standard
- Installation of storm water drainage systems, including gulleys and associated pipework
- Excavation and preparation of trenches for drainage and utility works
- Laying, bedding, and installation of frames and covers
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in groundworks and civil engineering projects
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of drainage systems and kerb installation
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- CSCS Card (essential)
- CPCS/NPORS tickets advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence preferred
